Russian invasion update: Arestovych reports on hot spots

The situation regarding the Russian invasion

Now there is relative silence all over Ukraine, except for Volnovakha, Donetsk Region, and the north-western outskirts of Kyiv.

The relevant statement was made by Advisor to the Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Oleksiy Arestovych at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Currently, there is relative silence all over the country, except for Volnovakha, where Ukraine’s military regained control after a powerful counterattack, and the north-western outskirts of Kyiv, where the enemy attempted to move forward in separate groups but was repelled by our army aviation and artillery, territorial defense forces. Some of them were defeated, some of them are moving northwards and organizing defense at 15-20-40 kilometers away from Kyiv, so that our artillery attacks cannot reach them,” Arestovych told.

In his words, this indicates that the enemy is initiating a tactical withdrawal, at least within certain areas.

According to Arestovych, the general situation in Ukraine shows that ‘the enemy has burnt out and thrown the last combat effective units at Kyiv to capture its outskirts and declare the so-called victory. Kyiv and Kharkiv. But, in Kharkiv, they were surrounded, defeated and are being smashed. The same is happening in Kyiv’.

Arestovych stressed that the tactical withdrawal showed that the enemy’s plan had failed once again.
