The decision of the U.S. government to allocate the third tranche of the loan guarantees worth over $1 billion to Ukraine is the position of the real partner.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this at the meeting with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I want to thank our American partners for allocation of the third tranche of the loan guarantees by the Government of the United States of America worth over $1 billion. This decision is very important for us. This is the position of the real friend and partner," the President said.

Poroshenko noted that Ukraine now effectively interacted with the American partners.

"We will get support in financial and macroeconomic fields both bilaterally through the provision of bilateral guarantees and multilaterally through supporting us in the international financial institutions, including the International Monetary Fund," Poroshenko said.
