Local elections: Exit polls for main regions

The cities of Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk have to prepare for a runoff of mayor elections. The cities of Kharkiv and Vinnytsia have already chosen their most probable future mayors.

Kyiv

The incumbent mayor of the capital city Vitali Klitschko has received 40.4%, and he is the leading candidate for a mayor. Volodymyr Bondarenko obtained 8.7% of the vote.

In the elections to the Kyiv City Council the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party gains 28%, Samopomich party  - 10.3%, Batkivshchyna - 10,1%, Svoboda - 9.7%, Yednist - 8.5% of the vote.

Kharkiv

In the mayor race, incumbent mayor Hennadiy Kernes is leading  by a large margin. His result is 59.3% of the vote. Taras Sitenko is a runner up with 16.4%.

In a race for the Kharkiv City Council, the "prize" medals were received as follows: the Vidrodzhennia party (Revival) - 51.3%, the Samopomich (Self-assistance) party - 16.4%, and the Petro Poroshenko Bloc-Solidarnist party - 6.9% of the vote.

Dnipropetrovsk

A  member of "Ukrainian Union of Patriots - UKROP" party Borys Filatov (41.6%) and an MP from the Opposition Bloc party Olexandr Vilkul (32%) are set to compete in the runoff of mayor race.

In the race for the Dnipropetrovsk City Council, the Ukrop party received 33% of the vote, while the the Opposition Bloc party gained 27%, the Hromadska syla (Social Force) paty and the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party - 8%, the Samopomich party - 5.7%.

Exit poll data was published on one of the TV channels

Odesa

In the runoff race, the incumbent mayor Hennady Trukhanov faces Advisor to Head of Regional State Administration Oleksandr Borovyk.

Trukhanov received 47.6% of the vote,while Borovyk carried 30.8%.

However, Trukhanov said that according to their exit poll, he carried 53%, while Borovik has 29% of votes cast. The incumbent mayor is confident that there won’t be any runoff race.

Also, the Odesa City Council will be represented by Trukhanov’s  Doviriai Dilam (Trust actions) party  - 28.6%, the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party - 20%, the Opposition bloc party - 14.4%, Ukrainian Marine party of Kivalov - 5.9%, Samopomich - 5.4% and Batkivshchyna - 5.3%.

Chernihiv

In the race to the Chernihiv City Council the leading parties breakdown is as follows: newly established party Nash Krai (Our Land) carried 26.5% of the vote. The Petro Poroshenko Bloc- Solidarity party gained 16.5%. The third place is won by the city organization of Batkivshchyna- 13.4%.

The 5 percent cuttoff barrier was  overcome by the Samopomich - 7.4%, the Radical Party - 6.3%, Svoboda - 6.2% and the Democratic Alliance party - 5.3%.

In the city mayor race,  Olexandr Sokolov is the leading by carrying 35.4% of the vote. MP Vladyslav Atroshenko is the runner up with 21.6% of the vote.

Vinnytsia

The city residents have elected their mayor in the first round. The leader of the race in the city of Vinnytsia is the incumbent acting mayor Serhiy Morhunov, a member of the Vinnytsia European Strategy party.

The 5-percent cuttoff barrier to the City Council has been surely overcome by the Petro Poroshenko Bloc - Solidarity party, the Yednist (Unity) party, the Batkivshchyna party,  the Vinnytsia European Strategy party. And three parties are on the verge of entering the City Council.

The data were collected by the Committee of Ukraine Voters (CVU).

Zaporizhzhia

In the race for the city council, the leader is the Opposition  bloc - more than 26% of the vote. The runner-up is the Ukrop party - 12%, third place  the Petro Poroshenko Bloc- Solidarity party - 11.1%, the fourth place is won by the Samopomich - 9.1%, the fifth place, the Nova Polityca - 8.8%, the sixth - Batkivshchyna - 7%, and the seventh -  the Nash Krai (Our Land) - 6.8% of the vote. The remainder of parties gained less than five percent of the vote.

In the city mayor race, the leader is Volodymyr Buriak who carried 30.6% of votes cast. The runner-up is the Petro Poroshenko Bloc- Solidarity party  - Mykola Frolov with 14.6%.

Lviv

In the city mayor race, the leader is the incumbent mayor Andriy Sadovy from the Samopomich Political party - 48.8% of the vote. The runner-up is Ruslan Koshulynskyy with 13.2% of the vote.

In the city council race the Samopomich carried 32.7% of the vote, while Svoboda (Freedom) gained 11.8%, the Petro Poroshenko Bloc- Solidarity party- 10.6%,the Batkivshchyna - 8.4%, the People’s control party - 6.9%, the UKROP party - 6%.

Rivne

In the race for the Rivne City Council, six parties were winners. Among them are the Petro Poroshenko Bloc- Solidarity party with 14.7%, the Svoboda - 14.3%, the Batkivshchyna - 12.1%, the Samopomich - 9.1%, the Radical Lyashko Party - 8.2%, the Public control party - 7 2%.

Runoff for mayor race will see the incumbent mayor Volodymyr Khomko with 35.1% of the vote face head of the Rivne public control Dmytro Yakymets.

The data was collected by the Regional Institute of Social Research commissioned by the Rytm TV channel.
