Ukrainian swimmer Andriy Hovorov wins two golds in France

Ukrainian Andriy Hovorov has won two gold medals at the French Open swimming championship, the press service of the Ukrainian Sport and Youth Ministry has told Ukrinform.

"The first medal won by our countryman was in the 50-meters butterfly race. His time of 22.69 seconds is the new national record. In addition, Hovorov demonstrated the best result in the competition and became the first in swimmer in the world to wear textile shorts," the press service noted.

Hovorov also won the gold medal in the 50- meter freestyle. His final result of 21.93 seconds beat Olympic champion Florent Manaudou from France.
