Over 1.6 million IDPs registered in Ukraine

As of early December, over 1 million 650 thousand Ukrainian citizens, who had been forced to move from Crimea and the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, were registered.
This was reported by the press service of the Social Policy Ministry of Ukraine.
"As of December 5, 2016, 1.656,662 internally displaced persons or 1.336,031 families from Donbas and Crimea were registered by the social protection departments of regional and Kyiv city state administrations," the press service informed.
As reported, 1.078,801 families applied for financial assistance, and 989,961 of them were assigned such benefits.
