Ukrainian culture will not be financed residually as it is becoming an urgent and top-priority direction of the state policy.

This was posted on the Government portal page on Facebook.

"The Government increases spending on culture by 90%. This means that Ukrainian culture will no longer be something minor, residually funded. The Government will allocate UAH 3.8 billion for conduct of cultural activities, preservation of historical monuments, and production of Ukrainian films," the statement reads.
