Almost 1.7 million IDPs, including 236,000 children, registered in Ukraine

As of October 2016, the number of internally displaced persons in Ukraine has reached almost 1.7 million, including 236,000 children.
Deputy Social Policy Minister Serhiy Ustymenko said this during parliamentary hearings on children rights in Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“According to the latest data as of October 2016, almost 1.7 million of internally displaced persons, including 236,000 children, have been registered in Ukraine,” Ustymenko said.
