Luhansk governor: highest prices for medical services recorded in Luhansk region

"Despite the fact that the war is being waged in the Luhansk region the prices of medical services are the highest. If a comprehensive MRI scan costs UAH 14,000, in the adjacent regions it costs only from UAH UAH 4,000 to 6,000. So I do not want to revive our health care system- I want to "give birth" to it again," said the official.

He noted that at present it’s difficult even to schedule even a simple procedure such as X-Rays in the Luhansk region.

"Two or three X-Ray machines are working covering the whole area - the remainder is "out of service". When we wanted to purchase the machines - it turned out that in order to buy them from major equipment manufacturers we could do that only through multiple middlemen. And we should have available ten or fifteen of these machines," said Harbuz.
