Ukrainian paramedics plan to use motorcycle ambulances in 2017

The All-Ukrainian Union of Paramedics plans to launch the project entitled “Motorcycle Ambulances in Ukraine”, according to the organization’s press release.

“The All-Ukrainian Union of paramedics is launching the project "Motorcycle ambulances in Ukraine". Kyiv is the city where it is appropriate to start the project, taking into account such factors as road traffic, traffic jams and the time of ambulance arrival to the patient. We expect that the first motorcycle (provided with equipment and medicines) will appear on the roads of Kyiv as early as in April 2017,” reads the report.

As it is noted in the press release most of the developed countries use motorcycle ambulances: Germany, Austria, Hungary, Turkey, Mexico, Australia, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Brazil, Poland, Slovenia, Ireland.
