Government liquidates State Penitentiary Service

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has dismissed Chairman of the State Penitentiary Service Volodymyr Palahniuk.
This has been stipulated in a corresponding Cabinet resolution as of November 23, the government’s press service reports.
“To dismiss Palahniuk Volodymyr Mykolayovych from the post of chairman of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine because of the liquidation of this service (clause 1 of the first part of Article 87 of the law of Ukraine on the state service),” reads a report.
