Donald Tusk: All EU countries recognize Ukraine is ready for visa-free regime

All EU countries have clearly recognized that Ukraine has fulfilled all the criteria for the abolition of visa requirements, and this could happen before the end of the year.
President of the European Council Donald Tusk said this at a joint press conference with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker following the EU-Ukraine summit in Brussels, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I am glad that all the Member States [of the EU] have recognized that Ukraine is ready for the visa-free regime. This decision is the recognition of Ukraine’s achievements in compliance with the European standards," Tusk said.
He also stressed that the visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens could be abolished by the end of the year.
