Council of European Union to consider visa-free regime for Ukraine on Thursday

November 17, the Council of the European Union will consider the issue of start of the inter-institutional negotiations with the European Parliament and the European Commission on completion of the process of making a decision on the abolition of visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens.
This issue is on the agenda of Thursday’s meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Governments of the Member States to the European Union, an Ukrinform correspondent reports from Brussels, referring to a source.
"This issue will be discussed by the Council of the European Union on Thursday. If there is a positive decision, the inter-institutional negotiations will begin as soon as the agreement is reached on a new mechanism of the abolition of visa-free regime. I hope that this will happen in the coming weeks," the source said.
