Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde have held a meeting on the sidelines of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Wednesday.
“Petro Poroshenko and Christine Lagarde have agreed on the next IMF mission's visit in Ukraine in autumn this year,” reads a report posted on the official president’s website.
The Ukrainian president thanked for the decision of the IMF Board of Governors to continue the program of cooperation with Ukraine and allocate additional financial assistance.
The sides also discussed the course of reforms in Ukraine and noted successful implementation of the reform in financial-banking sector.
