President of Ukraine and Prime Minister of New Zealand conduct first negotiations at highest level in history of bilateral relations

In the framework of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held negotiations with Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key.

This has been reported by the press service of the Head of State.

The parties noted the importance of the first meeting at the highest level in the history of relations between Ukraine and New Zealand and confirmed willingness to enhance bilateral relations.

Petro Poroshenko thanked John Key for the firm stance of New Zealand in support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as condemnation of Russian aggression against our country.

The President drew attention to the necessity of expanding the legal base of relations.

The two leaders discussed the intensification of interpersonal contacts and prospects of mutual simplification of visa requirements.
