OSCE not to monitor possible elections in Donbas – Hug

OSCE will not be engaged in monitoring of possible elections in occupied Donbas.

Principle Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug said this at a briefing in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission has been instructed to monitor the situation in the security zone, and the mission will not monitor possible elections," Hug said.

As Ukrinform reported, the preliminary vote before the local elections is planned to be held on temporarily occupied territory of Donbas on October 2.
