President attends national flag raising ceremony in Kyiv

President Petro Poroshenko took part in the ceremony of raising the National flag.
The event was held at Sofia Square in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The ceremony was also attended by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers and the law enforcement agencies.
The National Flag Day is celebrated annually on August 23. The day was established to honor the centuries-old history of the creation of the Ukrainian state and the state symbols of independent Ukraine.
