Chubarov: Instead of giving housing to displaced persons it is better to return them their land as soon as possible

This was stressed by Refat Chubarov, chairman of the Mejlis, during a news conference at Ukrinform.

"We do not need to develop a separate housing program in mainland Ukraine for those who do not have housing due to Russian occupation. Because this will show that we simply agree and have resigned ourselves to the loss of this land. It  seems to me that it will be more effective to step up the efforts of the state so that we and our parnters develop a program to return these lands and restoreour territorial integrity. And then Yuriy Ilchenko (political prisoner who escaped from Crimea) must move back to his house, I will go to my apartment and see my mother, and thousands, hundreds of thousands of people who had housing destroyed in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions will simply return to the land to rebuild their homes. and we will work with them. It will be the most effective way," Chubarov said.
