The Ukrainian World Congress calls for urgent actions in response to the escalation of Russia’s military activity on the Ukrainian territory.

This was stated by President of the Ukrainian World Congress Eugene Czolij, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The Ukrainian World Congress calls for immediate unwavering action by the international community in response to the escalation of military activity by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory which underscores alarming imperialist ambitions and raises the omnipresent threat to global peace and security,” Czolij said.

He noted the importance of condemning such acts and strengthening sanctions against Moscow. "It is imperative for the international community to unequivocally condemn this escalation with which the Russian Federation continues to violate international law and agreements while blatantly disregarding the value of the lives of yet more innocent men, women and children who remain perilously at risk; and to strengthen sanctions against the Russian Federation until it de-occupies Crimea and fully complies with the Minsk agreements," the statement reads.
