President Poroshenko calls on people to pray for troops who defend Ukraine

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has congratulated fellow Ukrainians on Day of Rus-Ukraine's adoption of Christianity and called on them to pray for the soldiers who are defending Ukraine, according to his address released on Facebook.
"On this historic day occasion I'm calling on people to pray for those heroic warriors who have defended and continue to defend our homeland.
Let our heavenly patron of Rus-Ukraine King Volodymyr the Great join us in our prayers for driving away the invaders. He is holding the cross in his hand while he's wielding a sword in the other one in order to defend Ukraine," Poroshenko has said.
