Madeleine Albright: Donald Trump victory would be a gift to Vladimir Putin

Albright criticized Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, whom she called a choice of Russian President Vladimir Putin, own Ukrinform correspondent reports. 

“The truth is that a Trump victory in November would be a gift to Vladimir Putin-and given what we have learned about Russia's recent actions, Putin is eager for Trump to win. And that should worry every American,” Madeleine Albright said. 

Albright noted that she as a person who fled from pro-Soviet Czechoslovakia from “the Iron Curtain” knows what happens when you give the Russians a green light”.

According to her, Trump's dark vision of America, “one that's isolated in the world, alienated from our allies”, would be a disaster. 

She stressed that Americans should do everything that the victory of Trump “never happen”.
