Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko has signed a law on the judicial system and status of judges, the presidential press service reports.
“Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law of Ukraine on the judicial system and status of judges, which is aimed at the implementation of updated constitutional principles of justice to ensure the independence and de-politicization of judicial power, strengthening its responsibility before the society, the introduction of new principles of judiciary formation, strengthening the role of public control over honesty and ethics of representatives of judiciary, and optimization of the judicial system,” reads the report.
