Brexit and waves of migration to Europe have suspended consideration of granting visa-free regime to Ukraine.

Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze said this on the air of Ukrainian Channel 5.

"Brexit and waves of migration to Europe have actually postponed consideration of these decisions by the European Parliament and the European Council due to the fact that some countries initiated the review and approval of an additional mechanism – a rigid mechanism for possible suspension of visa-free travels for any of the third countries – it is not referred to Ukraine or purely Georgia, Turkey. Discussion of this more rigid mechanism for possible suspension of granting visa-free regime has delayed the decisions, which should now be considered in the European Parliament's committees," the Vice Prime Minister said.
