Ukrainian Parliament’s Rules Committee approves criminal prosecution of MP Onyshchenko

The Rules Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has approved the petition, filed by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, for giving consent to the criminal prosecution, detention and arrest Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko.
The decision was made at today's committee meeting, a correspondent of state news agency Ukrinform reports. "The Committee decided to approve the petition for giving consent to the criminal prosecution, detention and arrest of Ukrainian MP Oleksandr
Onyshchenko," Acting Committee Chairman Pavlo Pynzenyk said, reading out the decision.
MP Onyshchenko is suspected of organizing corrupt deals tied to the reselling of gas. ol
