President Poroshenko met with President of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly

Poroshenko held a meeting with President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Ilkka Kanerva on Thursday, June 16, according to the president’s press service.
During the meeting, President Poroshenko stressed that sanctions remained an efficient tool encouraging Russia to fulfill the Minsk agreements in full.
President Poroshenko drew attention to the escalation of security situation in Donbas and continuation of provocations by militants and supply of weaponry and troops by Russia.
In addition, the head of state said that the OSCE police mission should be deployed in Donbas, which would promote security and de-escalation.
Also, President Poroshenko noted the important role of the OSCE SMM in the process of monitoring the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements and ensuring peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas.
