State-run Mykolaiv-based Zorya-Mashproekt gas turbine scientific production complex and the Defense Ministry of India have concluded an agreement on the supply of power units for Indian Navy ships, the company’s press service reports.
“Zorya-Mashproekt signed a contract with the Defense Ministry of the Republic of India on the supply of equipment. The company will produce and deliver to the customer the naval power units for ships in service of the Indian Navy,” according to the company’s press service.
The contract was signed under the program of replacement of engines and reducers, which exhausted their resource and are to be removed from service. This program, which is planned to be implemented in 2016-2017, foresees the re-equipment of small-sized ships of the Indian Navy.
