Political decision on visa-free regime for Ukraine made – EC President

The European Commission has made a political decision on liberalization of the visa regime with Ukraine and Georgia as the two countries adhere to the necessary criteria. Now, it is the turn of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union to take the necessary steps.
This was stated by the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker at today’s plenary session of PACE, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Ukraine and Georgia fulfill the criteria for visa liberalization. There are some difficulties, but we overcome them together. The countries are actually ready for this. The European Commission has already made a political decision. It is turn of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union to make the appropriate decisions," Juncker said.
