Poroshenko about incident with NYT: My words have been misinterpreted

The president wrote this on his Facebook page.

“It’s a pity that my words regarding the publication in the respectable New York Times have been misinterpreted. I read this publication and respect the viewpoint of its editorial staff,” the president wrote.

He also added that there is still much to be done in Ukraine, including in terms of overcoming corruption.

“The first steps have been made. But I’m stressing: I’ve protected and I will protect Ukraine where it will be possible to do,” Poroshenko summarized.

Earlier, President Petro Poroshenko at a press conference during his official visit to the United States commented on an article in the New York Times about corruption in Ukraine, and stated that a hybrid was waged against Ukraine, including via the spread of information that discredited Ukraine.
