Canadian charitable organizations this year are planning to send to Ukraine 16 ambulance cars, re-equipped into mobile hospitals. Six of them will arrive until June.

President of the Canadian-Ukrainian Foundation, Viktor Hetmanchuk said this at a briefing on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"This year we are planning to send 16 mobile hospitals to Ukraine. Six are almost ready, they are being re-equipped, and I hope they will arrive until June,” Hetmanchuk said.

He also said that the first six mobile hospitals would be delivered to Kharkiv and Kharkiv region. They will render medical assistance to the residents of villages and will become an alternative to hospitals.

The next four mobile hospitals from Canada will be sent to Luhansk region, according to Hetmanchuk.

“We will try to give more to the east, where medical infrastructure has been damaged the most,” he said.
