The European society must stand together and jointly counter the Russian aggression, which is held back by Ukraine now.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this, taking part in the discussion at the 52nd Munich Security Conference in Munich on Saturday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Alternative Europe has its leader, whose name is Putin," Poroshenko said.
According to the President, today Ukraine is facing a lot of challenges, one of which is "alternative values" imposed by Moscow; this danger threatens Europe as well.
Russia has its "soldiers" in Europe; we speak about pro-Russian parties, which are fighting against Europe, Poroshenko emphasized and called to fight "for our European values."
Poroshenko stressed that currently thousands of Ukrainian soldiers protected Europe from Russian aggression.
