The first experimental train en route Ukraine-Georgia-Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan is expected to be launched this week, what will allow to reduce costs of Ukrainian goods’ transportation to these markets.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said this at a cabinet sitting on Wednesday, January13, according to the governmental website.

“After signing relevant agreements, on Friday we will launch the first experimental train, and then we will efficiently cooperate with our partners to build an alternative way of supplying Ukrainian goods,” Yatsenyuk stressed.

The route will allow the Ukrainian economy to find alternative ways of supplying goods to the markets that have always been Ukrainian, but where currently it is difficult to deliver goods in connection with the Russian transit and trade embargo, Yatsenyuk added.
