Poroshenko thanks Israel for its strong support for Ukraine in 2014

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this, speaking at the Knesset of Israel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"In 2014, in the difficult time for my country, the entire Jewish community defended our common homeland side by side with the citizens of Ukraine of Ukrainian and other nationalities. We, Ukrainians, appreciate and will never forget it," the Head of State said.

According to Poroshenko, the political nation is now being formed in Ukraine on the principles of patriotism and belief in the European future of people of different ethnicities, languages ​​and faiths based on the fundamental values ​​- freedom, independence, democracy, and human rights.
