EC to give 100 mln euros to Ukraine for decentralization

The European Commission plans to allocate 100 million euros for Ukraine to conduct reform on decentralizing government power in the country.
Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Thomas Frellesen said at a conference entitled “Constitutional reform: achievements and prospective”, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The European Commission yesterday decided to render a serious financial support to Ukraine in the sphere of decentralization – 100 million euros. This money will be aimed at promoting the work on decentralization,” he said.
Besides, according to him, the European experts will assist the Ukrainian government by holding consultations on decentralization reform.
