Poroshenko in France: meeting Canada PM and climate change summit

The Ukrainian President arrived in the  Republic of France on his official two-day visit to participate in the opening of the UN 21th Conference of the Parties on climate change (COP21).

According to the agenda of his visit, on November 29 the President of Ukraine took part in the official ceremony commemorating the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris when 130 people were killed.The President laid flowers at one of the scenes where on November 13 the tragedy occurred. On Sunday, Poroshenko was also to meet the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

On November 30, 2015, the Ukrainian President will attend the opening of the UN 21th Conference of the Parties on climate change, which will be held at Le Bourget under the conditions of the highest security. He is scheduled to address the Climate Forum. In addition, during COP21 Summit Poroshenko will hold a series of talks with foreign Heads of State and governments.

As Ukrinform has previously reported, the climate conference in Paris will be attended by the leaders of 147 countries of the world out of 195 despite the terror attacks in France.
