EU awaits texts of ‘visa-free’ laws from Ukraine

Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Olena Zerkal said this at the press conference on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The report of the European Commission will be prepared by December 15. It will be the final report. And it is very important to submit the passed laws to the European Commission so that it could assess whether the laws comply with the EU legislation and present its vision of their condition," Zerkal said.

According to the Deputy Foreign Minister, it is considered to be the only item awaited by the European Union.

"It is, in fact, the only thing we have not yet done and which is expected of us. As for the other issues, they expect the results of the anti-corruption prosecutor competition and the completion of competition for the posts at the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption," Zerkal said.
