Ukraine does everything to get visa-free regime with EU – Poroshenko

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this at the meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Italy, the press service of the Head of State reports.

"This is another step on the way to freedom, which would mean that the Revolution of Dignity was the right thing to do and the doors of Europe are open to the Ukrainians," the President said.

According to Poroshenko, his talks in Rome will focus on further political support and maintenance of the peace process, support for reforms in Ukraine, especially in the fields of decentralization, fight against corruption and judicial system reform. In addition, the need for financial and military support to Ukraine will be discussed during the visit.

The Head of State also informed on the conclusion of a series of important Ukrainian-Italian documents, particularly the agreement on the exchange of driving licenses to simplify the given procedure and eliminate excessive bureaucracy.
