Foreign Ministry expects positive EU response on visa regime

Deputy Foreign Minister Olena Zerkal told reporters in Kyiv on Thursday, and Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“A meeting of senior officials will be held in Brussels on Tuesday. This is, in fact, a last chance to render any information and discuss these issues, which are on a stage of fulfillment,” Zerkal said.

According to her, a positive response from the European Commission is expected this December.

“My forecast is that we will have final response from the European Commission by December 15. I don’t consider it to be negative. I believe these could be recommendations regarding of legislation improvement,” Zerkal.

At the same time, the European Union realizes that it’s rather difficult to create excellent legislation at once. Zerkal added.
