Donbas needs UN help – Yatsenyuk

Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Stephen O'Brien in order to discuss the humanitarian situation in temporarily occupied Donbas.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of relevant protection, satisfying the needs and providing assistance to internally displaced persons and Ukrainian citizens residing in the ATO area.

According to Stephen O'Brien, the UN supports Ukraine and remains a reliable partner for our state.

Ukraine commends the assistance of the United Nations and relies in the future on the consolidating of the international community to render aid to the Ukrainian citizens, who suffered from the aggression of the Kremlin and became hostages to Russian terrorists, Yatsenyuk stressed.
