Yatseniuk wants to introduce new post in cabinet

The creation of such a position doesn’t need the creation of the ministry for the issues of ATO participants, Yatseniuk said at a cabinet meeting, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I, as a premier, have constitutional authorities to introduce two ministers without the creation of relevant ministries. This means the creation of political positions,” he said.

According to Yatseniuk, the minister will assume authority to coordinate the activity of the Defense Ministry, the Interior Ministry, the Health Ministry, the Housing and Utilities Ministry and the Social Policy Ministry regarding ATO participants.

In particular, the minister will be in charge of the issues of psychological, medical and social rehabilitation of ATO participants, who are amounting to 130,000 at present.

“That’s why I’m calling on the parliament, the defense minister, the interior minister, non-governmental organizations to give me a candidacy for the position of the minister for the issues of ATO participants,” the head of government said.
