Tymoshenko urges Groysman to immediately convene extraordinary session of Parliament

Leader of the Batkivshchyna Yulia Tymoshenko has urged the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada to immediately convene an extraordinary session of the Paliament to consider bills on reduction of utilities rates for heating and natural gas.
She made a statement at a briefing held at the Parliament, Ukrinform reports.
"Our faction demands that this week, or at least at the beginning of next one, an extraordinary session be convened to consider bills leading to the reduction of utilities rates for heating," Tymoshenko said.
She noted that an extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada is initiated only to consider one issue - reduction of rental payment for natural gas, and as a consequence, a reduction in natural gas prices for people and utilities rates for heating.
Tymoshenko reminded that based on the article of the Constitution, 150 legislators can call for a convention of an extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada.
