President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had an interview with BBC and shared his opinion on the aggression of Russia in Syria, the results of the Paris meeting in the Normandy format and described present situation in Donbas.

The press service of the Head of State reported.

Answering the question of BBC journalist about Putin's goal in Syrian conflict, the President noted: "It is absolutely clear. He wants global destabilization. Just as 18 months ago, when Russian soldiers emerged in Crimea, destabilized the situation and annexed Crimea in the style of the Anschluss of 1938. Just as 15 months ago, when Russian militaries emerged in Donbas... Now they are in Syria. The goal is the same. Losing economic competitiveness, internal support and stability, Russia is trying to destabilize global security and order," Poroshenko said.
