Iceland ratified agreement with Ukraine on simplifying visa requirements

Iceland has ratified the agreement on simplifying visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens.

Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Finland and the Republic of Iceland Andriy Olefirov wrote on his Twitter.

"News from Reykjavik: Iceland has ratified the agreement with Ukraine on simplifying visa requirements," he wrote.

The Ambassador noted that the agreement comes into effect by the end of this year.

"Iceland is not the EU country, but it is part of the Schengen treaty. Therefore, this is an important signal of trust. We move ahead," said Olefirov.
