Poroshenko and Nazarbayev agreed on oil and gas cooperation – joint statement
The presidents expressed their commitments in a joint statement, the press service of the Ukrainian president reports.
“It has been confirmed that for the development of mutually profitable cooperation the following sectors are of the top priority: the fuel and energy, agricultural, energy, transport, coal and mine, agro-industrial engineering, space and other spheres,” reads the document.
The sides also highly praised the 12th meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Kazakh Commission on Economic Development, which took place in Kyiv on July 16, 2015.
“It has been determined that the main direction of the bilateral cooperation will be the organization of joint companies that will produce oil and gas equipment, railroad equipment, municipal, road construction and transport equipment, mine and coal equipment. The Ukrainian side will provide technological assistance in building formula-feed plants, grain elevator and winnower complexes, and dairy farms on the territory of the Kazakh Republic,” reads the statement.
The presidents also praised a business forum carried out in the scope of Poroshenko’s visit and highlighted the importance of improving the cooperation ties among enterprises and companies of the both sides, in particular, in the scope of enlargement of interregional cooperation, as well as the cooperation in multilateral formats.
