Effective anti-corruption campaign hasn’t begun yet - Abromavicius

The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius believes that corruption remains a disastrous barrier for development of Ukraine and serious tackling of it has not yet started in Ukraine.

The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius made a statement at the Kyiv International Economic Forum, Ukrinform reports.

"Corruption remains a devastating barrier for the progress of our country. One can say that a serious anti-corruption campaign hasn’t kicked off yet,"  said the minister.

Abromavicius noted that two days ago he had met donors of Ukraine to discussed the situation with corruption in the country.

"Two days ago I gathered all donors of our country. All our Western partners acknowledged that the situation with corruption in the country is an absolute evil," said the minister.
