Feb 20 is official date of Crimea occupation, Poroshenko signs law

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a law that defines that February 20, 2014 is a start date of the temporary occupation of the territory of Ukraine.
It has been reported by the press service of the Head of State.
"The President of Ukraine signed the law of Ukraine on amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning the determination of the start date of temporary occupation of September 15, 2015. The law stipulates that the start date of the temporary occupation is February 20, 2014," the statement said.
The changes were made in order to clarify the start date of temporary occupation, resolve conflicts and disagreements on this issue and coordination with international law to protect the rights of the state, citizens and legal entities.
