MP Bereziuk claims three factions of coalition oppose bill on elections in occupied territories

While meeting the President the Rada factions Samopomich, Batkivshchyna and the BPP declared their opposition to passing a bill on local elections in the temporarily occupied territory in the Parliament.

Leader of the Samopomich faction Oleh Bereziuk told the journalists at the Parliament, Ukrinform reports.

The legislator also noted that the meeting with the President, which took place last Monday, October 5, was attended by leaders of all parliamentary factions, including the Opposition bloc, except for the Radical Party leader Oleh Lyashko.

He also said that the President briefed the lawmakers on the progress of talks in Paris. However, he stated that, in his opinion, "it is unclear in the final analysis what occurred there."
