MP Mosiichuk quits Kyiv mayor’s election race

Lawmaker from the Radical Party faction Ihor Mosiichuk who is now under investigation and placed in custody, has pulled out his candidacy for the Kyiv mayor’s race to concentrate on human rights protection.
Leader of the Radical Party faction Oleh Lyashko told journalists at the Rada while commenting on Mosiichuk’s quitting the mayor’s race, Ukrinform reports.
"It was our joint decision. We believe that Ihor Mosiichuk should concentrate on enforcing the rule of law and human rights," he said.
Lyashko noted that the party has not yet decided at present whom to back during the mayor’s race and they will discuss the issue.
