Ukraine Parliament kicks off its plenary week today

Plenary sessions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will be held from October 6-9.

“From October 6-9, plenary meetings of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will be held," a statement said.

At this plenary week session legislators are to consider 23 bills that are included in the Plan on the legislative support of reforms.

According to the Speaker of Ukrainian parliament Volodymyr Groysman on Tuesday, MPs will be asked to consider bills to improve defense, in energy and economic and financial sectors, including antitrust bills.

On Wednesday the agenda comprises a series of questions to fulfill international obligations, organizational issues of Parliament.

On Thursday - a package of laws aimed at tasks on a visa-free regime with the EU, legislation on economic and financial sectors, elements of judicial reform.

“The hour of questions to the government” begins next Friday, announcements of parliamentary inquiries and social and humanitarian issues.
