Opposition Bloc violates election law, says Opora
Such an agitation violates the law of Ukraine, the Opora Civil Network reports.
“Residents in Kirovohrad and Znamianka are complaining about sms-messages with [the texts of] agitation for candidates. In particular, Kirovohrad residents received sms, which mentioned candidates of a political party of the Opposition block: Serhiy Larin [as a candidate to] regional council, Andriy Leybenko – for Kirovohrad City Head, Andriy Teslenko – for Znamianka City Head,” reads a report.
According to Opora, the agitation via sms-distribution is not foreseen by the law “on local elections”, and the usage of confidential information, for example phone number, can be punished by Part 2 of Article 182 (the violation of private life immunity).
