Melnyk has not crossed Belarusian border - lawyer

KYIV, August 17 /Ukrinform/. Former Rector of the National University of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Petro Melnyk has not crossed the border with Belarus and is currently undergoing treatment in Ukraine, the defendant's lawyer, Ruslan Misiuna, has told TVi.ua.
"Petro Melnyk is in Ukraine. He contacted me. It's not true that my client crossed the border with Belarus. There should be a video confirmation of this, but I heard nothing about this," he said.
The lawyer also said that Melnyk was currently undergoing treatment, because he has the same problems with the cardiovascular system.
The lawyer also promised to provide information about the location of the former rector in the near future.
Media reports said on Friday that Melnyk had been detained at the Verkhny Terebezhov in Belarus and passed to Ukrainian border guards.
