Naftogaz CEO: Ukraine may purchase natural gas from Russia

CEO of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Andriy Kobolev has stated there is a possibility of purchasing Russian gas.
According to him, this issue will be discussed at a tripartite meeting between Ukraine, Russia, and the EU, which will take place on December 9 in Brussels, RBC news agency reports.
"The negotiations will touch upon the winter package. We are always interested in having a wide range of suppliers, and if Gazprom gets to know our plans and agrees to accept these conditions, then we are likely to sign an additional agreement and consider the options for gas purchases," Kobolev said.
The signing of agreement will depend on conditions and prices offered by the Russian monopolist.
